The Mackie HR824 is a biamplified two-way loudspeaker for nearfield use. It utilizes an 8 inch polypropylene cone, 6x12 inch passive radiator, and 1 inch alloy tweeter in an internally braced enclosure.
The stereo sound field is wide, deep, and incredibly detailed. High frequencies and midrange are clean and articulated. Low frequencies are no more or less than what you recorded - you can actually hear the distinct tonal qualities (and harmonic quantities) of a particular bass instrument - instead of just a "generic" bass note. Most important, the sweet spot is a broad, three-dimensional area that gives you room to move up, down and across the console. In short, instead of having its own distinctive "sound," the HR824 sounds like the outputs of your mixer.
Event 20/20bas
What is it that makes the 20/20bas sound so exceptional? To begin with, they're based on the 20/20 design, which in itself offers exceptional sound. Reaching the next level required designing an active asymmetrical fourth-order crossover-one with phase response so accurate that the resulting stereo imaging simply must be heard (make that seen) to be believed.
20/20bas includes a 130W bass amplifier and 70W treble amplifier and silk dome tweeters which offer clear treble and low ear fatigue.
JBL LSR28P
The LSR28P is a biamplified system that builds on the foundations of JBL's proprietary Linear Spatial Reference (LSR) technology, which has created a new standard in studio reference monitoring. The JBL LSR28P utilizes two new JBL LSR transducers, the 218F 8" low-frequency transducer and the 053Ti High-Frequency transducer.
This system also incorporates other recent JBL transducer technology innovations, including DCD Differential Coil Drive technology and the carbon fiber composite materials. The advent of new self-powered configurations for these technologies redefines what an accurate near-field monitoring system can be.
Tannoy Reveal
Tannoy Reveal is a 2-way discrete nearfield monitor with 1" soft dome tweeter and 6.5" bass unit. Both drivers are magnetically shielded, allowing operation close to video monitors. Reveal offers a unique design and rigid cabinet. 100 W power handling.
