The MOTU PCI328 family of interfaces is a powerful system that allows you to build digital audio system of up to 72 inputs and outputs in virtually any conceivable configuration. Any combination of three interfaces may be used simultaneously. Supported formats include 24 bit balanced analog, ADAT optical, Tascam TDIF, AES/EBU, S/PDIF, and more.
The 2408 gives you 24 simultaneous inputs/outputs. The 1U rack-mountable 2408 actually provides 7 banks of 8 channel I/O: 1 bank of analog, 3 banks of ADAT optical, 3 banks of Tascam TDIF, plus stereo S/PDIF.
The 1224 offers stereo AES/EBU I/Os, 10 channels of balanced +4 dB (TRS) 24-bit output and 8 channels of balanced +4 dB (TRS) 24-bit input to your system.
The 308 provides 24 simultaneous channels of input and output via three popular digital audio formats (optical S/PDIF, RCA S/PDIF and AES/EBU). The 308 is the perfect interface for anyone who requires compatibility and instant access to an assortment of professional and semiprofessional digital formats.
The 24i provides 24 high quality, 24-bit analog inputs in a cost effective, single rack space package, allowing you to connect and record from 24 simultaneous analog inputs. In addition to all those inputs, the 24i also features stereo monitoring outputs in four formats: balanced 1/4" analog, optical S/PDIF, coax S/PDIF and front panel headphone output.

Yamaha DS2416 DSP Factory

Taking advantage of Yamaha's unique position as the world's leading manufacturer of audio DSP, the DS2416 offers the mixing power of the Yamaha 02R digital mixer, complete with 24 channels of digital mixing, on-board digital effects and dynamics processors -- along with everything else professionals need -- plus 16 tracks of hard disk recording with up to 32Bit resolution.
The DS2416 card has stereo digital and 20-bit analog inputs and outputs which lets you record and mix to and from a wide range of digital and analog two-channel audio devices. Two DS2416 cards can be linked to create a larger system, and expansion cards are separately available which permit multiple-channel digital and analog input and output options.
The AX44 expansion unit provides 4 inputs and outputs in a unit that is mounted in the computer's drivebay. Two AX44s may be used with a DS2416 card for a total of 10 analog I/Os. Or, choose the AX16 interface which provides 16 channels of 24 bit ADAT lightpipe I/O on a PCI interface card. - Get more info! Read our review here.
Frontier Dakota / Montana / Sierra / Tango24 Family
Dakota is a superintegrated PCI soundcard that provides a complete solution for digital audio, MIDI, and synchronization. Dakota offers 16 high-performance 24-bit digital audio channels, industry-standard 2x2 MIDI, SMPTE, and ADAT sync. Dakota also supports SoDA, which provides SMPTE timecode on any audio channel.
Montana is an expansion card for Dakota that adds 16 24-bit ADAT inputs and outputs for a total of 32 I/Os. Montana can synchronize the computer to an external video signal (NTSC or PAL) or to an external audio word clock. Video sync can also come from an internal header, for direct connection to a digital video board. Montana also has an ADAT 9-pin sync output. For maximum flexibility, Montana features a dual-slot layout so it can be installed in either a PCI or ISA slot next to Dakota.
Sierra is an expansion box for Dakota, featuring 8 MIDI input ports, 8 MIDI output ports, and a SMPTE input and output on ¼" jacks. Connecting a Sierra to Dakota quadruples the number of available MIDI ports, and adds dedicated SMPTE jacks so you can have timecode I/O without losing any audio channels.
Tango24 provides external A/Ds and D/As with incredible sonic performance, 8 +4dBu balanced I/O, and ADAT lightpipe compatibility. It can be used with Dakota, Montana, or any system that supports ADAT lightpipe I/O.
