Omni i/o direct into a MacBook Pro? 
I have an Omni i/o breakout box which came with the Delta 66 soundcard. That card was great with my G5, but now the G5 is gone and I'm on the MacBook. Based on what I'm reading about the Omni and the configuration of the box, I should be able to go mic in XLR and direct out 1/4" to mini into the laptop. For some reason it's not working. I'm pretty sure I've got everything right. I'm just trying to get a signal ... will probably run vocals into Garageband & Live for all vocal mixes, beatbox, etc. Any ideas why I'm not getting any signal? I know that the mic (SM-58) needs the pre-amp. Otherwise, recording to this machine works totally fine, basic audio, built-in mic or whatever. Thoughts? Ideas? Hopeless??
