What mic should I use for home video recording?
I'm doing some home video recording (think youtube quality stuff) and looking for microphones to record individual people talking, something like lapel mics. We're doing a cooking show and want people to be able to move around but also be heard whenever they speak. On the cheaper end of the spectrum, what would you suggest? Is the audio in this case something I'd want to implement with the camera or record externally? Thanks for the help.

If you don't mind wired mics, check out the options for lapel mics at soundprofessionals.com -- but for a cooking show I'd guess you's want to go wireless so you don't trip over a cable and drop a hot pot of soup on someone. I don't have any experience with those, but a decent multi-mic wireless arrangement won't be too cheap.
