useful LADSPA plugins

Of all the VST and DX plugins I tried only a handful end up being used all the time. I'm talking about 2 EQs, 3 compressors, 2 verbs, 1 delay, 1 tape saturation and maybe a transient designer. On a typical mix there may be a few exotic plugins, but these 10 plugins are really all I need.

Now that I'm going Linux (64studio/Ardour) I need to find myself a new set of basic LADSPA plugins. I know I can use VST plugins too but I want to set up a 64bit system and as I understand VSTs are out of the question (or in any case most of them). And I'm sure there are a lot of good LADSPA plugins available.

So what are your favourite LADSPA plugins and which ones should I avoid? I'm looking for basic rock/pop band stuff; drum verbs (plate-like) and compression, vocal verbs (room) and compression, vocal eq etc.

Thanks in advance.

I use a lot of the TAPs plugins and some of the CAP stuff. TAP has a couple eqs, a great reverb, and the Sigmoid booster is really a tape saturation, but works as a guitar amp sim if you put a simple amplifier plugin in front of it to boost dbs (caps has some decent cab sims). Steve Harris has the best comps, a good single band para and a multiband parametric with hi and lo shelves. I'm using UbuntuStudio and these plugs are all installed with the OS.
