    A couple of days ago, iLok.com announced the release of their new License Manager software. But do NOT sync your licenses yet unless you want to temporarily lose them, or have them converted to time-limited, as many people are reporting.

And if you've been looking to get your hands on the libraries to test, you're in luck. They announced today the first FREE version of one of their libraries, the Ample Guitar M Lite.

  4. Scarbee Changes To “Non-Exclusive” Agreement With Native Instruments

    Scarbee has always been known for it's top quality sample libraries, whether it be bass guitar, electric pianos and more. A while back, Thomas Scarbee(spelled Skarbye in real life) entered into an exclusive creation and distribution agreement with Native Instruments. That has now changed.

  5. MOTU Digital Performer 8 For Windows- Finally Released, Plus Demo Version

    Color me a bit excited to see that Digital Performer for Windows is now officially a reality. Several months ago, MOTU announced Windows compatibility, but they only released a Mac version of this long-time composer's favorite audio and MIDI host. But today, out of seemingly nowhere, MOTU have announced that the Windows version is now available.

    A while back, I started looking into the idea of an automated way to transfer articles from our old platforms to this new platform. We used to use not only a different coding language and database for the backend, but a completely different content management system. So I was hoping to find an easier solution. I couldn't.

So it's no wonder that most libraries don't allow you to take their samples, process them, and then SELL those samples in your own library. But the DNR Collaborative Sound Repository is different.     It seems that everywhere you look over the past two years, we get another shiny new strings library to play with. 8Dio have decided to go a different direction with their solo violin library, called 'Studio Solo Violin'. While other libraries have all taken the multi-sample approach, Studio Solo Violin focuses on the phrase.
